Oliver Burgess Meredith, known professionally as Burgess Meredith, was an American actor, director, producer, and writer in theater, film, and television. He was best known for his appearances in The Twilight Zone, playing the arch-nemesis The Penguin in the 1960s live-action Batman television series, and playing boxing trainer Mickey Goldmill in the Rocky film series.

His only Disney role was playing Henry Reade in the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color episode "The Strange Monster of Strawberry Cove". He was once considered for the role of Barnaby in Babes in Toyland and was supposedly in the running to replace Sterling Holloway as the voice of Winnie the Pooh during the making of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

He also played Fein in the 1994 Hollywood Pictures film Camp Nowhere and an Old Man in Tall Tale.
