Hapless Anastasia would be an extended version of the ending to Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time, showing what might have happened if Anastasia decided to isolate herself from Cinderella, to punish herself for going along with Tremaine's plot to undo her happy ending. It would also be narrated from the first-person perspective of Cinderella. In addition it would also go into much greater detail about not only Cinderella's genuine concern for Anastasia, but also Lady Tremaine's abuse of her two biological daughters.
The entire cast would reprise their roles:
- Jennifer Hale: Cinderella (Narrator)
- Chris Daniel Barnes: Kit
- Tress MacNeille: Anastasia
- Russi Taylor: Drizella and Fairy Godmother
- Susanne Blakeslee: Lady Tremaine
- Andre Stojka: The King
