Joel Murray is an American actor, voice actor, and comedian, who is best known for his roles as Ray Litvak in the CBS sitcom Love & War (1992–1995), as well as Peter James "Pete" Cavanaugh in the ABC sitcom Dharma & Greg (1997–2002). He also voiced the titular dog character of the Universal Cartoon Studios series Beethoven.
For Disney, he portrayed Mr. Jones in the 1996 telefilm Encino Woman. He also voiced Ahseron in the Hercules TV series, Helius Inflato in Teamo Supremo, Professor Triffid in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Don Carlton in Disney/Pixar's 2013 prequel film Monsters University.
