Kubwa is a major character in Disney's upcoming animated feature film The Continent. He is a brutish and strong-willing gorilla who is the son Mkubwa that is the king of the other apes, and must one day succeed his father after allying himself with Asani, Binamu and Tetea to find a new home for all prides and troops after a hideous earthquake nearly destroyed half of the continent.
