The Carousel of Progress (or Progressland as it was originally called) was created for a sponsorship from General Electric to be featured in the 1964 New York World's Fair where Patricia was featured and was named Jane. The Carousel of Progress would later be integrated in Tomorrowland at Disneyland in the Carousel Theatre for the New Tomorrowland integrations of 1967. In 1975, it was moved to Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World at the behest of ride sponsors, General Electric. In 1993, she was officially named Patricia. Over the years as new scripts, scenes and integrations have been implemented into it, Patricia has changed voice actors multiple times.

Trivia[]
- Patricia's name was originally Jane in the first four (1964-1992) shows.
- There is a picture of Walt Disney in her room in Act III the 1940's. This is a possible reference to Disney and his team of Imagineers who helped contribute to the attraction in the 1964 New York World's Fair.
