Scott Trahern is a major character in Disney's upcoming animated feature film Starcruiser. He is the father of Sam Trahern who is an army general and an astronaut that lost in outer space and has been kept prisoner by the Astronomic Empire to help its emperor rebuild it. He would one day reunite with his son and join forces with him to escape the empire and return home to the United States on Earth.
Background[]
Scott Trahern comes from a historical family who were enlisting to join the armies of America to protect their country from danger, terrorists and even aliens. Scott had a father who was at the Vietnam War right before he was born, and a grandfather who joined the United States Army to fight the Nazis at World War II and ended their rage with Allied forces in 1944, where it inspired Scott to follow their footsteps and join the army, despite also having an obsession about space and what the galaxy was like, which would mean when a soldier comes home from the war, he would be free to do something else, like stating a new life.
Scott joined the United States Marines in 1984 where he befriended a former astronaut turned farmer named Joseph Xandau who became his closest friend and would be like the only one on Earth to know about his adventures and mistakes in outer space. He than met a woman named Leah Clarke who he soon married, and they had a son named Sam who would soon follow his footsteps and protect their country to honor their late relatives, much to Leah's jealousy who wanted their son to have a normal life rather than getting himself killed by Middle Eastern people that kill white people, but Sam ignored his mother's ridiculous ideas of what life he would have one day, and listens more to his father about their family's history.
As father and husband with now had a difficult relationship with his wife about the decision of their son's future, Scott revealed to Sam how he wanted to fight Nazis like his grandfather did, but never got a chance due to their disbands. However, Scott did learn that there was more to do then fighting German soldiers and overtakers, cause it was all over now. But America still needed protection from their own, and that is why Scott joined the U.S. Army to fight for what's good, and believed Sam could do the same thing, with only Leah disproving them all.
After becoming a test pilot, Scott was trained and mentored by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to become an astronaut after wanting to see what space was like and knew this was his moment, and even learned from Joseph that the galaxy is beautiful but could be very dangerous if he traveled really far from Earth, and asked him to just land on the moon to make Aldrin and Armstrong proud of him, thus not wanting Scott to have a backstory like he has of how he had a friend that turned on him and joined forces of evil, which is what Joseph doesn't wanna happen to anyone, including Joseph who stood up for him, and promised to keep their friendship alive.
