- "You see, my people… our people needs aid and help from their Captain of the Royal Guards. They need you, Walinzi, like the king and queen themselves."
- ―Hasani asking Walinzi to stay behind and protect the Mukanda.
Walinzi is a supporting character in Disney's upcoming animated feature film The Royal Nigerian. He is the Captain and head of the Royal Nigerian Guards who leads them to protect their Kingdom of Mukanda and the streets of Nigeria under the order of the rulers, Khamadi and Tawala, and is also to protect their son, Hasani who looks up to him and is the only one who believes that people needs the captain's help and aid.
Background[]
Development[]
Personality[]
Walinzi is the commanding and cynical captain of the royal guards who takes his job very seriously, yet shows his loyalty to the royal family and would do anything to sacrifice himself for his kingdom and make sure his own people are safe from danger and a threat like darkness in sorcery spelled by Mathius of Zingatia.
Despite not being interested in the children, Walinzi did care for Hasani and his safety, not because he was the prince, but because he was a fine young lad who looked up to him, and knew people needed his help like he would someday.
Walinzi is so far the only Nigerian Guard who does not find anything funny and doesn't enjoy laughing, can also feel annoyed and uncomfortable when others laugh in front of him, including his own men and would give them a glare to quiet them down.
